Magazine front covers

Currently, there is a magazine aimed at both secondary and primary school teachers. In both magazines, the content is filled with new education news such as news about coursework, exams and government guidelines. There are articles about how children can react socially in school environments and interviews with government officials about education standards.

These are the conventions of a magazine. A convention is a typical thing you would expect from a magazine or a newspaper, in this case, you would expect a college magazine to contain information regarding education and the
college itself.

This is an example front cover of a school magazine aimed at teachers.

It has the basic elements of a magazine such as:-

- Masthead (Large name; in this case 'Secondary Teachers')
- Large photograph
- Text (Appropriately laid out underneath the photograph)
- Plugs (Smaller stories on the front page)

On this magazine front cover, it is done in a simple style as the main point of focus is the articles rather then the pictures which will dominate a typical gossip magazine front cover.

The colours used in this magazine stand out as they are bold and bright on a plain white background. This makes the writing clear and noticeable to make you notice the name of the magazine before you notice the picture.
