This is the final print of my University magazine.
It has all the stereotypical points of a magazine such as;
- Bold distinctive masthead; I decided to use this logo as it is a bold recognisable logo for the Hull University Union. The block red is a youthful colour which is eye catching and is perfect at attracting the target audience.
- Sub heading; I have decided to use the caption 'YOUR magazine' with the 'your' in bold capital letters. The emphasis on the word 'your' gives the audience the point that the magazine is clearly aimed at them and it is made only for them. This can make the audience defined and then create more sales for the magazine as they feel the magazine is just for them and they shouldn't buy any other magazine.
- Large photograph; I have yet to insert my photograph but my photo will be a picture of myself in a medium close up wearing a Hull University Hoodie, promoting the new clothing range. Because the photograph is large it draws the audiences eye towards it immediately putting the promotion on the mind of the reader.
- Smaller story; My smaller story revolves around a gig that took place recently with the rhetorical question 'Was you there?' If the audience had attended the event and they wish to look at the photo's they will buy the magazine as the front page has something that is attracting there attention if the promotional clothing doesn't.
- Fact; I have used a small fact in a label style saying that the magazine is the most popular in the UK. The audience may then feel a sense of pride with this and continue to show their support for the magazine by buying it.
