Mock up of front cover

This is my mock up of my front cover for my college magazine.

I have labelled all the key elements such as large masthead, photograph (medium close up) and smaller stories (puffs or plugs).

Everything I have chosen is a stereotypical cover for a magazine as the picture in the middle dominates the page, drawing the readers eyes in. The masthead will be large and enclosed in a bright box which will also draw the readers eyes in.

I have not yet decided on a suitable colour scheme yet. I have decided to use the Wyke college logo which is a purple colour and I may revolve the page colour scheme around that to make sure no colours clash and make the page look messy or untidy.
